The Chicago Film Critics Association's nominations for its 2022 awards were among some of the most interesting picks of awards season so far, earlier this week. The actual award winners? A little less singular, though they'll likely be regarded as quite satisfactory by many film fans. The Banshees of Inisherin is the CFCA's Best Picture of the year, winning four top awards but missing Best Director - that prize goes to Everything Everywhere All at Once's Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, and that movie is the biggest winner overall, with five awards.
