Zama Is The ICS' Best Picture of 2018
Only one movie won more than two awards from the International Cinephile Society as they voted on the best in cinema for 2018. Lucrecia Martel's brilliant Zama took Best Picture, Director, Actor and Non-English Language Film prizes, while Best Picture runner-up (as it was in three other categories) Burning took just Best Adapted Screenplay. I eagerly await these awards every year - they're such a good tonic to the blinkered purview of many of the industry bodies currently handing out prizes. Great stuff all around, ICS!
