Writers Guild of America announces 2021 awards nominations

Guild awards "Super Thursday" continues with the nominations for the 2021 Writers Guild of America awards. The WGA maintains strict eligibility rules and so several of the top contenders for screenplay prizes are excluded from consideration here on an annual basis, but this year has seen a particularly large slate of ineligible titles. Nevertheless, all Original and Adapted nominees for the 2021 WGA awards have legitimate shots at scoring equivalent nominations at the Oscars next month, and indeed for a Best Picture Oscar nomination. Winners will be announced on the 19th of March. Check out all the nominees below.
