Women Film Critics Circle announces 2022 awards nominations
Updated: Dec 18, 2022

In case today's Critics Choice Awards nominations were a little light on female-focused cinema (A: they were), the Women Film Critics Circle is here to shed light on the year in film from a different angle, and centre women's film and women's stories in the process. Their 2022 awards nominations are led by Gina Prince-Bythewood's The Woman King, with six mentions, Sarah Polley's Women Talking with five, and Chinonye Chukwu's Till with four, all of which are up for their two top prizes: Best Movie About Women and Best Movie by a Woman.
