Parasite wins three Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association awards

And now for the first of several belated critics' award posts, because I'm a busy bitch! The Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association, which announced its nominations at the weekend, has declared Parasite the best film of 2019, in form with several other critics' groups so far this season. Indeed, the WAFCA results closely match those of the season thus far, with big awards for Marriage Story, Us and Jennifer Lopez in Hustlers.
Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood led the nominations with 10 - it picks up two prizes, though surprisingly The Irishman fails to win in any category. Overall, Parasite is the biggest winner, not only taking Best Picture and Director but also standing as the only movie to win more than three awards from the D.C. critics.
