Vice Wins Two Makeup / Hair Guild Awards

2018 was a brilliant year for makeup and hair in the movies, with titles like Annihilation, Black Panther, Border and Suspiria raising the bar for what can be achieved in this field of filmmaking. Alas, for all that great work, this particular awards race is shaping up to be fairly limited in its variety, as Oscar frontrunner Vice wins two prizes from two nominations for the Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild. This kind of naturalistic character prosthetics work is always popular with voters, though I can't deny that these artists deserve all this attention.
