Us wins top honours in African American Film Critics Association awards

Lupita Nyong'o in Jordan Peele's Us
Lupita Nyong'o in Us

In a welcome break from the wave of Best Film prizes awarded so far this season to The Irishman and Parasite (deserving winners though they are), the African American Film Critics Association has bestowed its top honour upon Jordan Peele's thriller Us. I'll take a change of pace like this any day over the same old stuff, as worthy as it may often be.
