Piercing is the new movie from Nicolas Pesce, the young filmmaker behind 2016's very fine horror The Eyes of My Mother. The goodwill generated from that title's strong response has evidently brought about an uptick in Pesce's budget, as this Murakami adaptation boasts a recognizable cast including Christopher Abbott and Mia Wasikowska. Universal has picked it up for American distribution and will release it in the U.S. on the 1st of February. Check out this first trailer above.
