I'm always here for supporting female directors of colour, so it's all the more heartening when you're in plentiful company! Nia DaCosta's Little Woods has been receiving very strong notices on the festival circuit since it premiered last April at Tribeca, stronger still when one considers that this is DaCosta's first feature. And what a cast she's assembled for a first feature! The crime drama is due to be released in the U.S. on the 19th of April - almost a full year after its premiere - with one of the hottest indie distributors in the game, Neon, behind it.
