Three Films Lead Hawaii Critics' 2018 Award Nominations
Black Panther, The Favourite and A Star Is Born all possess plentiful potential to dominate nominations for any critics' awards this year, and all three do with the Hawaii Film Critics Society. The trio earn nine mentions apiece, followed by Roma with seven and First Man with six. Indeed, The Favourite tops the list despite missing Best Picture, where the increasingly reviled and increasingly resilient Green Book makes yet another appearance. Remember when the Denver critics' nominations appeared to be in order of preference? Well, the Hawaii critics look to have done the same - don't these nominees look like they're listed by votes received? It won't be long before we find out whether or not that assumption looks to have been correct, as winners are due to be revealed this Saturday, the 12th of January. All the nominees below.
