The Trial of the Chicago 7 wins Hawaii Film Critics Society Best Picture prize
You'll forgive my not noticing, since it seems I wasn't alone. Last week, the Hawaii Film Critics Society announced the nominees for their 2020 awards on their Facebook page. Since it never made it onto Twitter (as far as I could tell) nor even to the society's wonky website, neither I nor anyone else I know covered this landmark announcement. Someone, somewhere has picked up on the follow-up announcement of the winners of those awards however, though they might have wished they hadn't. The Hawaii critics have selected Aaron Sorkin's The Trial of the Chicago 7 as Best Picture of the year, continuing their tradition of having shite taste in movies.
