It triumphs across all nine of its nominations, winning in six of the eight top categories including Best Picture and Best Director. Fellow nominations leader Dune is left to pick up the scraps, taking just two of its nine opportunities to win plus an additional Technical Achievement prize, while eight-time nominee West Side Story can only manage a Technical Achievement prize and no more.
