The Irishman leads the 2019 Online Film Critics Society award nominations

Sometimes, the Online Film Critics Society can arrive in awards season, usually around late December, to shake up a staid awards race with a few new proposals. This year, however, perhaps in a sign of how right many critics' groups have gotten it so far, the OFCS' award nominations contain relatively few new proposals. Critics' awards behemoths like The Irishman and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood are out in front with eight and seven nods respectively, while fellow faves 1917, Marriage Story and Parasite also put up strong performances.

Winners will be announced, alongside recipients of special OFCS awards, on the 6th of January.
