Tar & The Banshees of Inisherin top 2022 London Critics Circle Film Awards

The Grammys weren't the only awards handed out last night, no! The movie world also held its own prestigious ceremony of honours, with the London Critics Circle's 2022 Film Awards held in the British capital. Voters proclaimed Tar the best film of the year, with director Todd Field and lead Cate Blanchett also picking up prizes. But it wasn't the night's biggest single winner, as The Banshees of Inisherin took home five: British/Irish Film of the Year, and awards for writer Martin McDonagh and three of its ensemble cast.
