St. Louis Film Critics Association announces 2021 award nominations

Updated: Dec 13, 2021

Five movies sit atop the list of nominees for the St. Louis Film Critics Association's 2021 awards, though exactly which five depends on which way you want to look at it. The Best Film nominees are Belfast, Licorice Pizza, The Power of the Dog, The Tragedy of Macbeth and West Side Story, though they're not all the most nominated. Instead, that goes to all but Macbeth from that line-up, plus Dune, which does get into Best Director. It, Belfast and The Power of the Dog claim a strong eight nods each, while Licorice Pizza and West Side Story do even better with nine. Winners will be announced a week today, on the 19th of December.
