Sound of Metal leads Greater Western New York critics' 2020 award nominations

Darius Marder's Sound of Metal is the surprise leader in the Greater Western New York Film Critics Association's 2020 award nominations. The popular indie drama amassed eight nods from the GWNYFCA, including acting mentions for Riz Ahmed and Paul Raci. Also proving successful with voters are some less surprising picks such as Kelly Reichardt's First Cow, Chloe Zhao's Nomadland and Steve McQueen's Small Axe installment Lovers Rock.
