Sciamma's on fire at the Florida Film Critics Circle awards
When the nominations for the Florida Film Critics Circle's 2019 awards were announced last week, I noted that they were a peculiar bunch altogether. Today's announcement of winners might look a little less peculiar, not least if you're familiar with their nominees. Celine Sciamma's Portrait of a Lady on Fire wins Best Picture from the FFCC, tying with Noah Baumbach's Marriage Story for the most wins, with three each. As baffling as those nominations were, I suspect these results will please awards watchers far more!
