Bad news for Parasite fans! In an apparent two-horse race, Bong Joon Ho loses out to 1917's Sam Mendes for the Directors Guild of America's top award, a result that could end up calling both the Best Picture and Director races at the Oscars in two weeks. And Honey Boy's Alma Har'el wins the Debut Director prize - a choice about which I'm only a little more content. Check out the 2019 DGA nominees here.
