Yet more awards success for Bong Joon Ho's Parasite as it wins four prizes from the North Carolina Film Critics Association. After the Christmas lull, once awards season picks up again, prospects often start to clarify in the Oscar race, with voting bodies congregating around the same contenders, so this is one positive sign among several for Parasite's Oscar hopes.

Regardless, its strong performance with the NCFCA is its own story. Little Women and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood each win two prizes, and Roger Deakins wins a second of the four awards these critics have given out for cinematography over their history. Remind yourself, if you wish, of their 2019 nominations at this link.
