Parasite wins big at 2019 Los Angeles Film Critics Association awards
Often one of awards season's most reliably bright spots, the Los Angeles Film Critics Association has joined the deafening chorus of critics groups announcing their year-end awards today. Bong Joon Ho's Parasite takes top honours, and bags a Supporting Actor win for Song Kang Ho too. Alas, in so doing, it beats Martin Scorsese's The Irishman across all three of its successes. This is a pleasantly eclectic bunch of honorees, if nothing too revolutionary, with a surprise Best Actress pick in the form of Mary Kay Place for Kent Jones' Diane. All in all, Film Twitter ought to love this lot!
