Kudos to the Houston Film Critics Society! Every year, they hold an evening ceremony at which they announce their award winners, much like the Oscars or the Golden Globes except thoroughly lacking in serious star presence. Even groups like the New York Film Critics Circle only hold their ceremonies after they've announced their winners, and they'd be far likelier than the HFCS to attract A-listers either way! I intend to hold a similar ceremony every day for the rest of my life to bestow upon myself another richly-deserved prize. Hooray!
Anyway, at the HFCS' do last night, Bong Joon Ho's Parasite won three awards, including Best Picture, matching 1917's hat-trick in technical categories. Full details of all the nominees can be found here.
