Oscar hopefuls Soul and Blizzard of Souls win top SCL awards
The Society of Composers and Lyricists isn't hanging about this year! Not only were they the first guild to announce their award nominations last month, they're now the first to announce their award winners. They've chosen Oscar frontrunner Soul from Jon Batiste, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross as the best score for a studio film, and Blizzard of Souls / The Rifleman from Lolita Ritmanis as the best for an independent film. Both are shortlisted for the Best Original Score Oscar.
