Nominations announced for the 2021 San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle awards

On a busy day for awards announcements, the San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle have risen bright and early to deliver the nominations for their 2021 awards to the world. It's a pretty predictable slate, all in all, given this group's typically strong, if safe, taste in movies - The Power of the Dog leads all movies with nine nods including Best Picture and Director; that's almost double what any of its Best Picture competitors managed. Next in line is Dune with six, though failing to score a mention in the top category. Lovely to see Drive My Car notch up five nominations as well. Winners are set to be announced on the 10th of January.
