Licorice Pizza wins St. Louis Film Critics Association Best Film award

Cooper Hoffman, Licorice Pizza, St. Louis Film Critics Association, Paul Thomas Anderson
Cooper Hoffman in Licorice Pizza

The St. Louis Film Critics Association has rung in on their picks for the best achievements in film for 2021, with a somewhat surprising choice for Best Film. It's not that Paul Thomas Anderson's Licorice Pizza isn't highly critically acclaimed, nor that it wasn't one of the most-nominated movies for the SLFCA's awards. It's just that its haul, of Best Film, Best Comedy Film and Best Scene, doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It doesn't need to, though - this is their decision, and it's one I can't complain about! Check out all the winners and runners-up below.
