2019 Indiana Film Journalists Association award winners announced

Lupita Nyong'o in Us

The Indiana Film Journalists Association is known, in certain circles, for a few things. Giving a Best Film award to a Colin Trevorrow movie! Announcing 26 Best Film nominees in a given year! Having... questionable taste! Anyway, this year, they've almost overcome that final thing by choosing Marriage Story as their favourite film of 2019, with Parasite coming in second. The Noah Baumbach drama also wins in Best Actor and in Original Screenplay, while the Bong Joon Ho thriller wins Best Director and Foreign Language Film. Sound pretty good, until you realize they haven't placed The Irishman anywhere, in any category! Not good, Indiana, not good!

You can remind yourself of the IFJA's extensive list of nominations for the year at this link.
