Hollywood Critics Association names Promising Young Woman the Best Picture of 2020

I almost feel a little sorry for the Hollywood Critics Association. The "critics" group established solely for the purpose of drawing attention to itself via announcing a raft of populist honorary awards each year now finds itself reduced to the same status as every other critics group, simply live streaming their winners announcement online with nary a celeb in sight. Contrary to what some are reporting, Promising Young Woman has not swept their 2020/21 awards, instead winning four prizes, but it has won the HCA Best Picture award, which is obviously not bad at all. Check out their nominations for the year here.
