Greta Gerwig wins USC Scripter award for Little Women

Not much to report, only a sole little bright spot in this awards season gloom. Granted, this means that The Irishman is probably going home Oscar-less (thus becoming the second Martin Scorsese movie to lose 10 Oscars, outrageously): Greta Gerwig takes the frontrunner position in the Adapted Screenplay category with a win at the Scripter awards.
This award is decided by voters from the University of Southern California, and is one of the most prestigious prizes around for adapted screenplays. Gerwig has swiftly become the favourite to win the corresponding Oscar for Little Women after she was denied a Best Director nomination there.
