GALECA's 2021 Dorian Awards nominees announced
In a year where the biggest critical hit and the clear Oscar frontrunner is a queer-themed movie, it's no surprise to see it lead the nominations for the Gay and Lesbian Entertainment Critics Association's Dorian Awards. And that, The Power of the Dog does by a clear margin, racking up nine mentions from GALECA's members in their 2021 nominees, including Best Film and Best Director for Jane Campion. Non-English language titles Drive My Car and The Worst Person in the World crack the Best Film lineup as well, and I'm very happy to see the association remove the gender distinctions from their acting categories, consolidating them into leading and supporting batches instead. Winners will be announced on the 17th of March.
