Female musicians dominate inaugural Society of Composers and Lyricists awards

Hildur Gudnadottir has well and truly broken onto the scene as one of the entertainment industry's most promising new composers. After her Golden Globe win at the weekend, she also wins the Society of Composers and Lyricists' first ever award for Studio Film composing. In addition, she also won in the TV category for Chernobyl. Furthermore, among the four prize-winners in competitive categories, three are female. A great endorsement of female composers in an industry that so often delivers them dust.
