The Austin Film Critics Association is trying things a bit differently this year with its awards. Rather than announcing nominees for Best Film, they're saving that announcement until they announce their award winners, with a Top 10 list of films in tow. So, today's announcement of nominees comes, unexpectedly, without a top category, but with a wholly expected top favourite, as Everything Everywhere All at Once claims 11 nods from AFCA voters. Next in line is The Banshees of Inisherin, and it's up for a relatively modest seven, so it looks like this could be another easy critics' group awards victory for the Daniels' sci-fi hit. Award winners, plus that Best Film Top 10, will be revealed on 10 January.
