2022 in awards season kicks off with one of the first groups to announce its awards selections in every new year: the Columbus Film Critics Association. You might know them as the Central Ohio Film Critics Association - if so, welcome to the 21st Century, mum! They've waited 'til now to announce a slate of nominations pretty similar to the consensus so far this season, but with welcome Best Film mentions for Summer of Soul and The Tragedy of Macbeth, and a strong second place showing for Licorice Pizza with eight nods, behind The Power of the Dog with a whopping 12. Less welcome, however, are the near-total shut-out of Spencer - even Kristen Stewart - and a Supporting placement for The Last Duel's Jodie Comer... Something's not quite right in Columbus! Winners will be announced on the 6th of January.
