Chlotrudis Award Nominees: Madeline's Madeline Out In Front
The Chlotrudis Society is always last to announce during awards season; indeed, it extends its voting period way out past the end of awards season most years. At least these days they've taken to publishing their nominations in January, not February, so we've less time to wait. Josephine Decker's Madeline's Madeline, a largely undersung indie hit from last year, leads their 2018 slate with eight mentions, followed by Luca Guadaganino's Suspiria with a richly-earnt six. Chlotrudis rarely toes the line of the season's narrative, so no surprise to see Roma left off the Best Movie list. Winners will be revealed on the 17th of March at the annual awards-giving ceremony for Chlotrudis' 25th anniversary celebration. Check out all the nominees below.
