Black Film Critics Circle names The Woman King as Best Film of 2022

The Black Film Critics Circle has announced its award winners for the films of 2022. Gina Prince-Bythewood's The Woman King is the top winner overall, with three competitive prizes including Best Film and Best Director; its co-lead, Viola Davis, also receives a special award. Everything Everywhere All at Once, Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio and The Whale also receive multiple prizes. Significantl, eight of the BFCC's Top 10 of 2022, including the entire top seven, are genre movies. All the details below.
