Aunjanue Ellis and Demi Singleton in King Richard

It's the Black Film Critics Circle's turn to ring in on its choices for the best achievements in cinema this year, and they've made some distinctive choices. King Richard is the big favourite with these journos, winning four prizes including Best Picture. As with most critics' groups this season, however, they still find space to honour awards behemoths like The Power of the Dog and Dune with a couple prizes each, as well as two for The Harder They Fall.
