Best Film Is A Tie With Kansas Critics

Nicholas Hoult in The Favourite

Four the fourth time in the history of the Kansas City Film Critics Circle, two films have won the group's Best Film award. The KCFCC has granted the honour this year to both The Favourite and Roma; their Best Actor award has also been split between Christian Bale for Vice and Ethan Hawke for First Reformed. This critics circle is among the oldest in the world at 52 years old, and their 2018 crop could turn out to be a vintage one, with runners-up mentions for the first time that include deserving, underrecognized actors Yalitza Aparicio and Thomasin McKenzie.
