Aftersun wins four Toronto Film Critics Association awards

It's been a long time coming, but critical darling Aftersun has finally pushed past the trio of prize-winning titans to claim a Best Film award. The Toronto Film Critics Association has declared Charlotte Wells' debut feature the best of 2022 in four categories, including Best Director for Wells and Best Actor for Paul Mescal. The three heavyweights it's edged out don't leave the TFCA awards empty-handed, however, as The Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All at Once and Tar all win a prize apiece.
