Surprises, success and snubs in the 2022 Screen Actors Guild awards nominations. The 29th annual slate of nominees for SAG-AFTRA's film performance awards are led by The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All at Once, with a remarkable five mentions each, both including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. But even EEAAO isn't immune from a little exclusion here, as it misses out on the Stunt Ensemble category; similarly, fellow Cast nominees Babylon and Women Talking fail to earn any individual acting nods, while The Fabelmans' only solo nominee is Paul Dano in Supporting Actor, and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is omitted entirely. But it's good news for some slight surprises like Ana de Armas, Adam Sandler and Eddie Redmayne, all of whom score spots in SAG's 2022 lineup despite being absent from many pundits' predictions. Awards will be presented on 26 February.
