2022 Hawaii Film Critics Society award winners announced

Harry Shum Jr., Everything Everywhere All at Once, Dan Kwan, Daniel Scheinert, Hawaii Film Critics Society
Harry Shum Jr. in Everything Everywhere All at Once

There's really no reason for the Hawaii Film Critics Society - certainly not among the top tier(s) of American film critics organizations - to have 30 year-end prizes, is there? But then there's really no reason for them not to either, so here we are! In many other groups' awards, six wins would be a whopping victory. Here, it's a mere 20% of the wins available, but it's a healthy 20% when you consider that Everything Everywhere All at Once's haul includes four top awards, such as Best Picture and Best Director. Other multiple winners include Top Gun: Maverick with an excellent four, and Avatar: The Way of Water, The Batman and Pearl, all with two. That's a terrific performance for Pearl, especially given that it claims one of the top acting prizes - Best Actress for Mia Goth, while Best Actor goes to The Whale's Brendan Fraser. Remind yourself of the HFCS' nominations here, and see all the winners' details below.
