2021 Online Association of Female Film Critics awards nominees announced

My broken record keeps playing the best tunes! Leave it to a group of female film critics to pick some of the best nominees for achievements in film for 2021. The Online Association of Film Critics announced, yesterday evening, its awards nominations for the year - as expected, Jane Campion's The Power of the Dog leads the way here with seven nods, but there are also strong showings for fellow female-made pics like Passing and Titane, and a majority of the Best Director nominees are women. It may or may not be the OAFFC's mandate to promote women in film, but whether that's what they're up to or not, they're doing it both well and with utmost integrity - these are some very handsome nominations overall. Maybe I'm just happy to see someone nominate Claire Mathon again. Winners will be announced on the 21st of December.
