2021 Critics' Choice Documentary Awards: Summer of Soul wins 6!
Questlove's Summer of Soul (...or, When the Revolution Could Not Be Televised) affirms its status as the most promising candidate for awards when the season starts next month, winning big at the Critics' Choice Documentary Awards. It takes six prizes - almost half the categories and, indeed, all of those for which it was eligible. Also faring well is Oscar winners Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin's The Rescue, which takes three awards, including tying with Questlove for Best Director.
