2020 Iowa Film Critics Association award winners announced

Nomadland wins another four prizes from film critics with the announcement of the Iowa Film Critics Association's 2020 awards. It takes Best Film, Director for Chloe Zhao, Actress for Frances McDormand and Score for Ludovico Einaudi. The famous Italian composer might have been a strong contender for this year's Oscars were his contributions to Zhao's film eligible - he reused too much of his pre-existing work for it to qualify. Also winning are Ma Rainey's Black Bottom's late star Chadwick Boseman for Best Actor, and critics' faves Youn Yuh Jung and Paul Raci in the Supporting acting categories for Minari and Sound of Metal respectively.
