2020/21 Motion Picture Sound Editors award winners announced
As we approach the final week of the current awards season - at last! - the remaining guilds are declaring their award winners for the previous year-and-a-bit of film. Latest to announce is the Motion Picture Sound Editors with their Golden Reel Awards. These may bear a little less significance than normal on Oscar predictions given the Academy's decision to condense their two sound categories into one from this year on, but may bear a lot more to the sound editors who've won trophies this year. They hail from such popular titles as Greyhound, Soul and Tenet, though not Sound of Metal, which many had considered a frontrunner here.
