I didn't ever post the nominations for the 2019 Hollywood Critics Association awards, but I can't say I mind the omission. Not only does the HCA boast a needlessly long slate of categories, their evident desperation to be the Broadcast Film Critics Association #2 is nothing short of irritating. An L.A. evening awards show? A generous helping of honorary award star-fuckery? A membership of media wannabes? All present and incorrect!
1917 wins four HCA awards, which is approximately 0.02% of the categories, but it wins Best Picture, so there's that.
