Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Favours The Favourite In 2018 Nominations

Updated: Dec 7, 2018

Emma Stone in The Favourite

It's December at last (literally), and thus the ideal time for an early-announcing film critics group to get their foot in the door of awards season without looking too eager / desperate (directly aimed at the NYFCC ngl). The Favourite comes out top with the Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association, whose 2018 award nominations were announced mere moments ago - the Yorgos Lanthimos period piece scores ten mentions to closest rival A Star Is Born's eight, though both ought to watch out for NYFCC Best Film winner Roma, also up for the top award here.
