Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book Win Top Globes

Mahershala Ali in Green Book

You're never going to please everyone, though tonight's Golden Globe awards felt rather like they were going out of their way to please no-one at times. Then again, that's hardly out of the Globes' way... So two of the year's most reviled prestige pics, Bohemian Rhapsody and Green Book won the two top prizes at the 2018 Golden Globes, with voters paying frontrunner A Star Is Born little more than dust, and confirming the actual worst case scenario catastrophizations being floated on Twitter the past few days. Meanwhile, Glenn Close started what looks now like a strong, clear path to Oscar after a very well-received acceptance speech, winning Leading Actress (Drama), and Regina King beat back against that SAG snub with yet another top award win in Supporting Actress - no-one else has beaten her yet. It wasn't all bad, then, but when it was bad, it was very bad indeed. Golden Globe nominations here, and winners below.
