The Hate U Give Takes Top L.A. Online Critics Prize

A diverse group of artists defines the winners slate at the 2018 Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society awards, including a surprise Best Picture victory for an L.A.-set movie, The Hate U Give. I still have my qualms about the gender-separated Best Director category here, even if it means a prize for the brilliant Lynne Ramsay, but there's little to complain about here, including two wins for Hereditary cast members, to my eternal delight!
