Eighth Grade Wins At Detroit Critics Awards As A24 & Annapurna Dominate

After commenting on the surprises in the nominations for the Detroit Film Critics Society's 2018 awards, I'm not sure whether I was equally surprised or not by their choices to actually receive those awards. A24 titles Eighth Grade, First Reformed and Hereditary prove their staying potential with big award wins, as do later-breaking Annapurna pics If Beale Street Could Talk and, with its first prizes of the season Vice.
