Austin Film Critics Association awards: Parasite wins four

Constance Wu and Jennifer Lopez in Hustlers

As we lurch into the ever-deflating industry end of awards season, we're always grateful for those stragglers among the critics' groups, those who've opted to wait until the year has actually finished before they decide on their favourites from it. It doesn't make a huge difference, if today's Austin Film Critics Association awards are anything to go by, but at least they provide a welcome indication that some people have taste!

Parasite wins four prizes from the AFCA, all of them utterly deserved, and awards for Uncut Gems in Editing, I Lost My Body in Animated Film, and A Hidden Life further demonstrate the reliably good artistic judgement of this association's members. Recall their nominations for 2019? If not, here's the link!
