2021 Houston Film Critics Society awards winners announced

The Power of the Dog has won six prizes from the Houston Film Critics Society in their 2021 awards. The Western drama is the recipient of the HFCS' Best Picture and Director prizes alongside Best Screenplay, Original Score, and Leading and Supporting Actor for Benedict Cumberbatch and Kodi Smit-McPhee, respectively. Dune and No Time to Die both receive two awards in under-the-line categories, while Mass wins two acting awards. Still awaiting announcement is the winner of the Texas Independent Film Award, which will be revealed on the 19th of February; the nominees there are 12 Mighty Orphans, Amaraica, Playing God, Red Rocket and Test Pattern.
